Al-Salt – Al-Balqa’ Applied University (BAU) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)’s Sustainable Recruitment of Nurses (Triple Win) Programme signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoU) on Tuesday. The agreement, aimed at enhancing joint cooperation, provides job opportunities for BAU’s nursing graduates to work in Germany. The MoU, signed by Dean of the College of Nursing Dr. Lawrence Hadid and the program’s advisor Dr. Reem Hossa, ensures that BAU will receive updated accreditation standards aligned with the requirements of the German nursing labor market.

According to Jordan News Agency, BAU alumni will have opportunities to enter the German labor market as assistant nurses, eventually obtaining certification as nurses after receiving German accreditation.

The memorandum also includes provisions for the Triple Win Programme team to conduct biannual sessions introducing BAU College of Nursing students to the program’s objectives. Additionally, BAU will receive updated statistics on the number of nurses joining the Triple Win Programme. The initiative, which aims to recruit nurses to work in Germany sustainably, is currently implemented in six countries, including Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Jordan.
