Beijing calls for respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

China called for respecting Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-intervention in its domestic affairs.

Xinhua news agency quoted head of the Chinese mission to the UN in Geneva, Minister-Counsellor Jiang Duan as saying during a session of the Human Rights Council “ All should recognize Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, in addition to the right of the Syrian people in livelihood, development and protecting all these rights.”

“The reality of the continuation of crisis in Syria till now proves that the foreign intervention, pressures and sanctions will lead to nothing but to a deep suffering to any country,” Duan said in reference to the unilateral coercive measures imposed on  Syria.
