Blinken handed gift to Shoukry celebrating Egypt-US ties

To mark the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Egypt-US diplomatic relations, US State Secretary Antony Blinken presented Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry a gift for Egypt.

 

The gift includes a copy of two letters, one of them is a letter recognizing Egypt’s independence from the then US President Warren G. Harding to King Ahmed Fuad and the other is a letter from the then US State Secretary Charles Hughes to Abdel Khalek Sarwat Pasha to greet him on independence.
