Cairo University has made a big jump in 2021, according to “Times” rating about on-campus application of the UN sustainable development goals.

President of Cairo University Mohamed Othman el Khosht said international performance is measured through a number of standards, atop of which research, supervision, awareness and education.

Cairo University ranked 201st of 300 top world universities, Khosht said.

He added that Cairo University could successfully achieve 17 of the UN sustainable development goals.

It was among the top 50 universities in terms of clean and renewable energy standards, coming 45th, Khosht further said.

Cairo University was also among the top 100, where reducing poverty and developing society is concerned, the president said, adding it also ranked 95th in terms of equality standards.

Cairo University has successfully implemented a project to introduce critical thinking to help create new entrepreneurs in society, said a proud Khosht, noting that the university is taking constant steps toward international standards.
