The Municipal Services and Social Resilience project initiated a number of investment and development projects on Thursday in Zaatari, Al-Manshiya, Madaba, and Hawsha municipalities, with a total cost of JD2.3 million. These projects, funded by the World Bank and executed by the Ministry of Local Administration, encompassed a hydroponics (soilless planting) initiative to benefit the local community members of Zaatari and Al-Manshiya. To achieve this goal, the two municipalities signed an agreement with Dar Abu Abdullah, a non-governmental, non-profit organization that seeks to empower individuals through projects that address food poverty in Jordan. The project director Tawfiq Khawatreh said the project, which also operates in agriculture, industry, and health, is cooperating with various public and private sector partners to achieve local development.
