Egypt condemns Houthi drone attack on UAE

Egypt strongly denounced an attempted drone attack by the rebel Yemeni Houthi militias against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday.

The UAE Air Defense Forces intercepted and destroyed the three hostile drones launched by the Iranian-backed Houthis toward areas in the country at dawn yesterday.

A statement issued Thursday 3/2/2022 by the Foreign Ministry stressed Egypt’s categorical rejection of terror attempts and acts that aim to destabilize Arab and regional security and stability.

Egypt voices full solidarity with the UAE and support for all measures the sisterly Arab country adopts to protect its security, and stability and the safety of its nationals and residents, the statement said.
