Egypt offered its sincere condolences to Afghanistan over the victims of the devastating earthquake that left hundreds of people dead and injured.

In a statement on Wednesday 22/6/2022, the Foreign Ministry extended its condolences to the Afghani government and people and the bereaved families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The ministry also expressed Egypt’s solidarity with Afghanistan in this ordeal, the statement added.

At least 280 people were killed and 600 others injured after a magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday, according to the country’s disaster management authority.
