Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reiterated Thursday 22/9/2022 Egypt’s staunch supportive stance to the Palestinian cause, and the necessity of breaking the current peace process deadlock and meet the rightful aspirations of the Palestinians in having their own independent state.
Shoukry’s comments came during a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, currently being held in New York, Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The meeting tackled the latest Palestinian developments and Egypt’s supporting efforts to Palestine at all levels.
For his part, Shtayyeh expressed his country’s appreciation to the Egyptian supportive stance to the Palestinian cause and its efforts to push forward the reconstruction process in Gaza.
