Egypt supports Jordan to confront hepatitis C, chronic diseases – minister

Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar asserted on Monday that Egypt is ready for offering all ways of support to Jordan to face hepatitis C by training specialists from Jordan to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in the early detection of hepatitis C.

Abdel Ghaffar’s remarks came during his meeting with Jordanian Ambassador in Cairo Amgad Al-Adaylah at the Health Ministry’s headquarters to discuss boosting health cooperation, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s spokesman, said.

The meeting touched on the possibility of registering Jordanian pharmaceuticals in Egypt and offering support to Jordan to confront chronic diseases.

The two sides discussed training students of Jordanian medicine faculties at the Health Ministry’s hospitals in different specialties in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.

Meanwhile, Adaylah thanked Abdel Ghaffar for his tremendous efforts to support the Jordanian health sector and Egypt’s support to Jordan during the coronavirus pandemic.
