Egypt, Uruguay discuss fostering bilateral cooperation in agricultural fields

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed El Quseir has discussed with newly appointed Uruguayan Ambassador to Egypt Adriana Lissidini means of fostering bilateral agricultural cooperation.

 

Hailing Egypt-Uruguay relations as “historical”, Quseir noted that there are already many important fields of bilateral cooperation.

 

In press statements, the minister added that he discussed with the Uruguayan ambassador ways to improve the trade balance between the two countries in a way that serves joint interests of their peoples.

 

The meeting also touched on preparations for the Uruguayan agriculture minister’s visit to Cairo in mid-February.

 

Quseir reviewed the agricultural progress witnessed in Egypt over the past seven years, noting that there is increased demand for Egyptian agricultural products from most countries worldwide.

 

He also pointed out to Egypt’s readiness to offer agricultural products that can meet the market needs in Uruguay.
