Electricity: Egypt taking key steps towards clean energy

Spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity Ayman Hamza said Egypt is taking major strides towards clean energy.

He said there is an international interest in investing in Egypt, especially in the energy domain.

During a phone call with a program of the dmc satellite channel, he said a memorandum of understanding was signed with an international bank to lay down a green hydrogen strategy.

He said all international investment agencies are deeply interested in taking part in the measures being taken to gear up for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) which is due to be held in November in Sharm El Sheikh.

As for preparations for the holy fasting month of Ramadan, he said the sector has undergone great development that enables the state to maintain stable distribution of electricity nationwide.
