Fifty Palestinian prisoners in Israel embark on open-ended hunger strike to protest their Arbitrary prison transfers

Fifty Palestinian prisoners in Israel, who were transferred from Ramon to Nafha prisons, began today their open-ended hunger strike in protest of their Arbitrary transfer.

A statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said that 50 detainees who were transferred from Ramon to Nafha Prison submitted a letter this morning to the Prison Administration announcing their decision to embark on an open hunger strike, starting today, in protest against their arbitrary transfer and their collective isolation in Section 10 of Nafha Prison in harsh conditions.
