Tartous – Syrian ship “Farah Star” was floated on Saturday in port of Banias city in Tartous province to be thefirst Syrian-made ship amid large official and popular crowds.

The ship manufacturing operation was fully took place at Banias’s port , Captain Khalil Bahlawan told SANA’s reporter.

The ship total tonnage is 576 tons, 35 long, and 8.10 m wide, and is equipped with two engines, each with a capacity of 750 horsepower.

Speaking to journalists , Tartous Governor, Safwan Abu Saada said that Farah Star ship was made by a team of Syrian workers and specialists who made great efforts in order to complete the manufacturing process despite all difficulties.

Once gain ,the Syrian industry affirms its ability to overcome all difficulties resulted from the blockade by countries hostile to the Syrian people.
