CAIRO: The General Union of Arab Journalists condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ deliberate targeting of two journalists of the Al Jazeera crew, which caused them serious injuries.

The union, in a statement issued by the head of the Union Moayad al-Lami, stated that the Israeli occupation has escalated its attacks on journalists since the beginning of its aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, killing so far at least 120 journalists. ‘Israeli attacks against journalists contradict international law and human rights,” he stressed.

The Union reiterated its complete solidarity with the Palestinian people and journalists, calling on international organizations, all human rights organizations and the United Nations to condemn these unjustified crimes and to undertake the appropriate and necessary actions to protect Palestinian journalists and the defenseless Palestinian people.
