BERLIN: German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, stressed that the two-state solution is the only answer to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

In brief remarks to journalists ahead of the EU foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels, she said: ‘All those who say they don’t want to hear about such a solution have not brought any alternative.

She called for an urgent humanitarian pause to the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip to allow the delivery of aid in Gaza.

The EU foreign ministers’ meeting discussed preparations made to push for an international peace conference in the coming months to establish the principle of the two-state solution in the Middle East.

For the past 108 days, the Israeli occupation has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has so far left 25,295 people killed and 63,000 others wounded, mostly children and women.

According to the United Nations, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
