BERLIN: Germany today condemned the meeting held by ministers of Israel’s new right-wing coalition government and Knesset members in occupied Jerusalem yesterday to promote the forced displacement of Palestinians and the reconstruction of colonies in the Gaza Strip.

The German Foreign Ministry condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the participation of ministers in the Israeli government at this colonial conference, expressing utter rejection of statements and proposals made at the meeting.

Such controversial proposals put forward by Israeli far-right ministers for the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the reconstruction of colonies there are absolutely unacceptable, said the ministry in a press statement published by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The ministry said such proposals violate international law and would only exacerbate the situation.
