Governor of Sweida , Ambassador of Venezuela discuss means of joint cooperation in investment fields

Sweida, SANA- Sweida governor Bassam Parsik and Mr José Gregorio Biomorgi Muzattiz Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Syria discussed the ways of joint cooperation in the economic field and the investment projects available in the governorate.

Parsik highlighted the deep-rooted historic relations between Damascus and Caracas, and expressed the desire to boost them, taking advantage of the presence of a large Syrian community residing in Venezuela, mostly from Sweida.

He explained to the diplomat the investment opportunities and the highly profitable projects available to Venezuelan businessmen of Syrian origin.

The Venezuelan Ambassador, in turn, expressed the willingness to promote bilateral relations to the highest level, using all the necessary capacities to upgrade them.

He welcomed any initiative that contributes to promoting ties at the governmental and popular level.

For his part, head of the Syrian-Venezuelan Parliamentary Friendship Association, Mueen Nasr, pointed out the necessity of upgrading economic and trade relations to the level of political relations between the two countries and expanding horizons of joint cooperation.

Later , the embassy organized a meeting with the members of the Venezuelan community, in which Biomorgi highlighted the contribution of Syrian immigrants and their support for the Venezuelan government and people against the plots of imperialism.

“Syria has played a key role in confronting terrorism funded by the US administration and the European Union, and this is highly appreciated in Venezuela,” The Ambassador Biomorgi said.

He stressed that his country will always stand by the Syrian people and their leadership.
