Health Ministry: More than a million persons receive Coronavirus vaccine

The number of people who have completely received COVID-19 vaccine in Syria has reached 1,100,000.

Meanwhile, the number of those who received the first dose of the vaccine has reached more than 1,900,000, according to Director of Health Care Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Razan Tarabishi.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Dr. Al-Tarabishi pointed out that the vaccine is available and all kinds of it are safe, and the Ministry is still providing it for free through health centers and mobile teams.

She pointed out that work is being done to establish some fixed points to continuously provide the vaccine in places of large gatherings, such as universities and parks.

Dr. Al-Tarabishi pointed out that the decrease in the number of officially registered infections does not mean the end of the pandemic, indicating that all countries that have limited vaccination procedures have approached the vaccination rate of 80 percent of the population.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health has allocated more than 967 centers and hospitals in addition to 200 mobile teams in villages and areas where there are no health centers in the provinces to provide the vaccine against Coronavirus.
