Irrigation Minister holds talks over water-linked developments

Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati has probed water-related developments with a number of ministers and regional and international officials.

 

The talks were held on Saturday 23/10/2021 on the sidelines of the Cairo Water Week, which will kick off on Sunday.

 

He met President of the World Water Council Loic Fauchon and discussed means to cement cooperation between the ministry and council to overcome challenges facing several countries.

 

The minister also had a meeting with his South Sudanese counterpart Manawa Peter, who voiced his delight about the invitation to participate in this event in Egypt.

 

Abdel Aati had meetings with his Iraqi counterpart Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, Burundi’s Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock Deo-Guide Rurema and Uganda’s Water and Environment Minister Sam Cheptoris.

 

They probed means on strengthen ties and promoting cooperation, particularly in the water-linked domains.
