AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, engaged in a phone conversation on Thursday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, focusing on the escalation in Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, both diplomats shared concerns over the intensifying conflict and explored strategies to halt the ongoing war and alleviate the humanitarian crisis. Safadi emphasized the urgency of ceasing Israel’s actions, which he stated amount to war crimes and breaches of international law and humanitarian standards. There was a mutual reinforcement of the global community’s stance, as expressed in the United Nations General Assembly resolution, on the cessation of hostilities and the protection of civilian lives in accordance with legal and humanitarian mandates.
