King Abdullah Concerned for Staff of Jordan’s Field Hospital in Gaza

AMMAN – His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, made a phone call on Sunday to check on the staff of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza, following an incident in which several staff members were injured near the hospital.

According to Jordan News Agency, the commander of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza, King Abdullah expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured staff. His Majesty underscored Jordanians’ pride in and support for the field hospital team, encouraging them to maintain high morale. King Abdullah condemned the attack near the hospital as a heinous crime and assured that all necessary measures would be taken in response. He reiterated his support for the staff’s efforts in providing medical services to Gazans injured in recent events, emphasizing the hospital’s role as a symbol of Jordan’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people. Col. Khatib informed His Majesty that all staff members are in good health and high spirits, with the injured receiving necessary care. He affirmed the hospital’s readiness to continue its medical services. The Jordanian field hospital in Gaza, established in 2009 on King Abdullah’s directives, comprises 182 specialists and support staff and has been a vital facility for

treating Palestinians.
