The Mafraq Agriculture Department Tuesday carried out a vaccination campaign of livestock in Ruwaished against enterotoxemia, a condition caused by the absorption of a large amount of toxins from the intestines. The campaign aims to protect the health of sheep and goats from enterotoxemia, said the department’s director Ibtihal Khreishah, adding that pastures were assessed and the necessary instructions were given to farmers in the eastern region to curb the spread of infectious diseases resulting from a change in forage mixes and grazing.
