Media coverage of challenges facing humanitarian response within a workshop

Damascus, SANA- Information Ministry, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and in coordination with Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), has held a workshop entitled “media coverage of the challenges facing the humanitarian response”, dedicated to journalists working in the press offices at the state institutions.

Minister of Information, Boutros Al-Hallaq, asserted the importance of the Press Services in representing the ministries and the completion of their work thanks to their relations with the press organizations and their key role in facilitating the journalists’ tasks to obtain the required information.

“This workshop comes within unifying efforts and increasing the skills of our journalists,”al-Hallaq stated, adding that this one will be the start of a series of other similar workshops,

Al-Hallaq underlined the ministry’s readiness to offer every assistance contributing to uplifting the journalism in the country.

The workshop will last for three days in presence of numerous journalists and Press Office Directors related to ministries.
