Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met, at the Grand Serail on Wednesday, with Caretaker Minister of Culture, Judge Mohammad Wissam Al-Murtada.
Following the meeting, Caretaker Minister Murtada said that they discussed and array of general affairs and internal matters, adding that he briefed the Premier on his recent visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Premier Mikati later received President of the Arab Union of Surveyors, Dr. Sarkis Fadous, at the head of a delegation.
On emerging, Dr. Fadous said that the delegation presented with the Premier some technical matters regarding surveying work in Lebanon, saying ‘the Prime Minister was responsive and asked us to present proposals to improve the surveying condition in Lebanon.’
Mikati later received the Ambassador of the Republic of Sri Lanka to Lebanon, Kapila Susanta Jayweera,
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Sri Lanka and ways to consolidate joint cooperation for the benefit of the two countries.
The PM also met with the President of the Lebanese University, Dr. Bassam Badran, with whom he discussed university’s related demands.
Mikati then received, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makiya, the Parliament Secretary General Adnan Daher.
