State Minister for Military Production Mohamed Salah discussed Wednesday with Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna the executive situation of infrastructure projects of the solid waste system in governorates to remove any obstacles facing them.
The State Ministry for Military Production is constructing in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development new factories and raising the efficiency of a number of existing factories.
Salah said the meeting comes in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to upgrade municipal waste system and take necessary steps toward environmental protection.
In turn, Amna said the ministry is keen on promoting the implementation of projects and removing any challenges in this regard.
Meanwhile, the meeting discussed ways to convert 2,262 diesel-powered public transport buses to work with natural gas.
