Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry has launched the national measles and polio immunization campaign which targets children under the age of five and lasts till the 20th of October .
The Anti-polio campaign aims to reach about 2.781.000 children in several provinces, of whom 2.400.000 children can be reached, while the measles immunization campaign targets 2.494.000 children, with 1.196000 children can be reached,according to the Director Primary health care in the ministry, Dr. Razan al-Tarabishi
The campaign is implemented through 977 health centers and 793 mobile teams, 57 new-established medical center, with the participation of 12,349 health workers, Dr. al-Tarabishi added .
