New York, SANA-Russia affirmed its rejection of the Israeli aggressions on Syria and Lebanon, noting that these attacks threaten the countries of the region and inflame the situation in it.
“The arbitrary and illegal Israeli measures go beyond the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as they affect other neighboring Arab states, by committing provocations that resulted in numerous incidents that violate their sovereignty, such as Syria and Lebanon” TASS news agency quoted Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky as saying on Wednesday.
The Russian diplomat added that his country opposes such violations that threaten other countries and inflame the situation in the region as a whole.
