The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned on Wednesday the break in and attack of Israeli forces on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

This dangerous escalation is an attack on holy monuments and a violation of the Geneva conventions and the UN resolutions.

On his part, OIC Secretary General Hussein Taha held Israel responsible of the impact of such actions that will escalate tensions and instability in the region.

Taha called on the international community to end the Israeli violence and protect Al-Aqsa Mosque against such violations.

The Israeli forces broke into the mosque earlier today attacking worshippers with teargas, injuring dozens and arresting others.
