Muscat, March 10, 2023, SPA – The Sultanate of Oman welcomed today the joint tripartite statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the People’s Republic of China to resume diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Iran, to reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months, to activate the security cooperation agreement between them, and to cooperate in economics, trade, investment, technology and science, culture, sports, and youth.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement Oman’s hope that this step would contribute to strengthening the pillars of security and stability in the region and consolidating positive and constructive cooperation that benefits all peoples of the region and the world.
