Operations were halted at the Rafah Border Crossing between the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula, after an Israeli air strike on an area near the Gaza side, Egyptian security sources announced Monday.Meanwhile, high-level Egyptian sources warned off pushing defenseless Palestinians towards the Egyptian border, and some parties fueling calls for mass fleeing.Egypt has intensified its contacts with all active parties of the international community to stop the escalation and spare the bloodshed of the Palestinian people.
