Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli presided over the first meeting of the governmental committee concerned with preparing for an international investment promotion conference, to which the world’s major business heavyweights, banks and financial institutions will be invited.

During the meeting, Madbouli issued directives to prepare for the conference at the highest level and compile a perfect file of the investment opportunities which will be reviewed during the conference.

He also ordered to invite the biggest global institutions, mega investment banks, representatives of multinational companies and senior businessmen.

The meeting aims to start preparations for holding the conference, which is scheduled to take place next year to promote for investment in Egypt, said Madbouli.

The premier, meanwhile, said that it is necessary to start preparing the conference’s agenda and contacting directly with the investors, who will be invited.

An executive plan is needed to be implemented, said Mabdouli, adding that it is necessary also to set the tasks of each ministry or entity ahead of holding the event.

The meeting, which was attended by a host of ministers and senior officials, reviewed ways of setting the most appropriate time to hold the conference.

Also, several ministers put forward several ideas and the goals of holding such an important conference.
