PM probes cooperation opportunities with UAE, Jordan

The political leaders in Egypt, UAE, and Jordan attach great importance to achieving integration in various industries to serve the interests of their peoples, affirmed Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.

This integration is also envisioned to serve as a seed for greater inter-Arab cooperation, the premier added during his meeting Monday with Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea to discuss opportunities for enhancing industrial cooperation between the three Arab nations.

The meeting, which was also attended by Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) Mohamed Abdel Karim and Adviser to the Trade and Industry Minister Hatem el Ashry, tackled ways to capitalize on cooperation opportunities by investing in the competitive advantages of each country, such as availability of raw material, labor, technological capabilities, business enabling environment and consumer market.

The meeting also tackled the ability to expand into adjacent markets, in order to fulfil the three countries’ needs of different products commodities and reduce their imports.
