The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said that the storming of an extremist minister in the Israeli occupation government of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a dangerous matter and contributes to the escalation of the situation, and it is a continuation of the crimes of killing and arson committed by extremist settlers against Palestinian people. Abu Rudeineh added that the settlers’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, led by the extremist minister in the occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, and the continuous killings against Palestinian people, the latest of which was the killing of a child in Qalqilya, all express the official policy of the far-right government aimed at detonating the situation. He pointed out that the Jewish extremists’ storming of Al-Aqsa under the leadership of Ben Gvir is a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world, and a blatant challenge to the Palestinian people, and it will lead to more tension, violence and an explosive situation, the dangerous consequences of which will be borne by the occupation authorities that provide support and protection for these continuous attacks against Palestinian land, people and sanctities. The presidency’s spokesman stressed that the Israeli attempts to change the historical and legal reality existing in Jerusalem is unacceptable and doomed to fail, stressing that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a pure right for Muslims only, and that Jerusalem and the holy sites are a red line that cannot be touched at all. Abu Rudeineh indicated that the march carried out by settlers in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem confirms the occupation government’s public support for Jewish extremists, stressing that the US administration bears responsibility for the violations of Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem, as a result of its silence and refusal to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop its aggression and crimes, and to abide by what has been approved by international legitimacy.
