Amman: The Public Security Department (PSD) has renewed its warnings in light of the instable weather conditions on Thursday and depression on Friday that the Kingdom is expected to be affected by, according to bulletins issued by relevant authorities.
The PSD urged citizens to abide by safe and sound behavior and follow preventive instructions, to steer clear of valleys, places where torrential rains form, and valleys, and not to risk crossing water accumulations or floods by vehicles or on foot.
The PSD also urged citizens to drive cautiously to prevent traffic accidents due to rain and slippery roads and adhere to traffic regulations, stressing the possibility of dust and fog formation, the directorate warned of poor visibility, especially in the dessert highways.
The PSD also highlighted the importance of the safe use of heating devices of all kinds and regularly ventilating places, calling on citizens not to hesitate to call the unified emergency number (911) if necessary.
