AMMAN – The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) has signed agreements with three 5-star hotels in the region to provide practical training opportunities for its students. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of specialized technical education in Jordan’s culinary sector and expose students to international practices.

According to Jordan News Agency, the training programs will take place in Ireland, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These opportunities are part of RACA’s bachelor’s degree in cuisine and beverage management and a diploma in culinary arts. The academy believes that field training will offer students a chance to learn about global expertise in the culinary and hospitality sectors. This exposure is expected to increase their experience, enhance their understanding of global markets, and acquaint them with the sector’s operators in these countries. RACA, established in 2008 as an initiative of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), aims to raise the education level in Jordan’s tourism sector and encourage youth to pursue in-demand specialties in the labor market.
