Sanitary facilities rehabilitated in 50 schools in Daraa countryside

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC)-Daraa Branch has completed the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities for a number of schools in the province.

After continued efforts for two months, the branch, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, completed the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities in 50 schools in Daraa countryside from which 45 thousand students would benefit, Head of SARAC Branch Dr. Ahmad al-Masalmeh told SANA.

Al-Masalmeh added that these facilities had been subjected to sabotage during the past years as a result of terrorism, which made them out of service.

He pointed out that the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities is no less important than the rehabilitation of classrooms, and it would provide a comfortable and healthy atmosphere for students, especially in light of the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
