Seizing (8) containers in the middle port of Umm Qasr
Baghdad, The Border Ports Authority announced, on Thursday, the seizure of (8) containers violating import conditions at the port of Umm Qasr Al-Awsat in Basra Governorate.
The Authority stated in a statement, “The port of Umm Qasr Al-Awsat managed to seize (8) containers containing (home refrigeration appliances, kilo locks, various glass panels), all of which exceeded the legal period allowed for their stay in the port without reviewing the stakeholders.”
It added, “A committee was formed from the operating authorities, a legal seizure report was organized, and the materials were referred to the Umm Qasr Al-Awsat Police Station.”
