President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday the development works at the Ring Road in Greater Cairo, which covers 106 kilometers, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The Ring Road will be expanded to include eight lanes in each direction after the end of works as well and a bus rapid transit (BRT) system.
The president was posted on the development works at some work sites, especially the current expansions of Al Moneeb Bridge, to be eight lanes in each direction instead of four.
He also inspected the development works in roads and axes surrounding Al-Asmrat district that will be connected to the Martyr Corridor and Shinzo Abe axis in a way to reduce accidents.
