Sisi orders using latest techniques in new, existing cities

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has given directives to use the latest techniques while setting up new cities and upgrading the existing ones across the nation.

 

During a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Monday, the president ordered the use of state-of-the-art infrastructure, including new and clean energy, to transform the new and existing cities into green and environment-friendly ones and prepare them for hosting various international events.

 

According to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady, the president was briefed on the work progress of the Fustat development project, which is part of a national project to develop Old Cairo and transform it into a glamorous tourist destination.

 

The president gave instructions to upgrade the Fustat area in 2022, taking into account the cultural and architectural designs of the buildings which should be in harmony with the ancient nature of the area.

 

The premier also reviewed the construction status of various tourist and development projects in the New Alamein City and Sharm El Sheikh.
