Sobhy, UNICEF officer discuss establishing societal, service youth centers

Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Ashraf Sobhy on Monday discussed with Adolescent and Youth Officer in UNICEF Weaam el Leithy the idea of capitalizing on different youth centers and turning them into comprehensive, genuine societal service centers.

The measure emanates from the ministry’s serious and non-stop endeavors to upgrade youth centers and clubs as part of the political leadership’s utmost keenness on developing sports and youth institutions nationwide to offer decent life to citizens at large, added Sobhy.

The move will positively affect young people and hone their physical and intellectual skills by offering them all needed services in the centers, according to him.

The minister suggested a competition will be launched for youth to re-name youth centers with a novel title nationwide in a move meant to encourage more youth to participate in the contest.

The competition will help in bids aimed at empowering youth and listening to their future viewpoints regarding the all-out development process in the country, he said, adding youth play an important role in the society and have to take part in all development efforts exereted by the Egyptian State to provide citizens with quality services.
