Somali Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League (AL) Ilias Sheikh Omar Abu Bakr greeted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq and the Egyptian people on the occasion marking the 71st anniversary of Police Day, celebrated every year on January 25.

In a statement on Tuesday 24/1/2023, the Somali ambassador said Egypt’s Police Day is an occasion that every Arab takes pride in, for it represents a new phase of glory and dignity carved in the Egyptian history, voicing appreciation of the great role of Egyptian policemen, who sacrificed their souls for protecting the homeland’s security and stability and defending it against any threat, describing Egypt as the heart of the Arab world and the key pillar for maintaining regional balance.

He also wished Egypt further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of President Sisi.
