The Egyptian State has assumed full responsibility as regards the protection of Egyptians abroad, affirmed Emigration and Expatriate Affairs Minister Nabila Makram.
Speaking during a phone interview with Al-Hayah Al-Youm TV Program on Saturday evening, the minister added that evacuating the Egyptian expatriates from war-hit Ukraine reflects the political leadership’s keenness of protecting Egyptian citizens abroad.
An operation room was formed to constantly follow up on the situation of the Egyptian community in Ukraine, added the minister.
Several video meetings were held with Egyptian students in Ukraine in this respect, she further said.
The decision to evacuate the Egyptian students from Ukraine has met their relief from the families of the students and the students themselves, she added.
