Suez Canal fleet includes 2 biggest dredger

The Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said Monday that the Suez Canal fleet includes two dredgers considered the biggest in the Middle East region.

The two dredgers, “Mohab Mamish and Hussein Tantawi” are used to maintain the depth of the waterway and in implementing projects, the IDSC explained in an infographic about the naval fleet.

This fleet helps in the crossing of ships, upgrading the canal and implementing new projects, the IDSC noted.

The fleet also includes four new dredgers at Port Said Arsenal, it said.

The IDSC added that three new anti-oil pollution units also joined the Suez Canal.
