Confrontations erupted this evening between Palestinian civilians and Israeli occupation forces as the latter stormed the town of Beita, in the northern West Bank province of Nablus, according to local sources. Several cases of suffocation were reported in the town due to the use of teargas by the Israeli troops. This escalation follows days of heightened tensions in the region, with Israeli occupation army imposing a siege on the town for more than five days. WAFA correspondent said a large contingent of Israeli occupation forces stormed Beita, provoking confrontations with local Palestinian residents. The Israeli occupation military has maintained a siege on Beita for several days, conducting raids and searches at times.
