Syria affirms its support for Cuba against all forms of embargo imposed on it

Damascus, SANA- Syria has affirmed its stance in support of Cuban people and leadership against all forms of embargo it has been subjected to, Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement posted on its Twitter page .

“On occasion of UNGA resolution dated on Nov 3rd 2022 calling for uplifting the economic blockade imposed on Cuba by the US, Syria renews its stance in support of the Cuban people and leadership in the face of all forms of siege and embargo they are subjected to.” the ministry said.

“185 countries having voted for the resolution represents absolute rejection to the economic sanctions policy which will only lead to further suffering and instability at the International Community as well as threatening the international peace and security”, the ministry underlined.

“The embargo imposed by the United States and its allies against many peoples of the world is inhuman and immoral practice, and should be lifted immediately.” the ministry stressed.
