Tehran, SANA-Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran, Shafiq Dayoub, discussed with Adviser to the Iranian President, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones Hojjatollah Abdolmaleki, means and mechanisms of developing cooperation between Syria and Iran in the economic domains, particularly the Free Zones.

The Syrian Ambassador stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the field of The Free Zones between both countries in a way that boosts their economic and Trade relations and leads to the flow of goods and materials between their markets, thus, easing the impacts of unilateral coercive measures imposed on the two states.

Abdolmaleki, for his part, underlined the importance of cooperation between the two states in the domain of Free Zones and the exchanged investments, expressing his country’s willingness to sign a memo of understanding on cooperation between Tehran and Damascus in this regard.
