Syrian-Russian parliamentary meeting at the People Assembly

Chairman of Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee at the People’s Assembly Basem Sudan affirmed the need for developing the Syrian –Russian relations at all levels to serve the interest of the two peoples.

 

This came during a meeting between the Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee at the People’s Assembly and the Chairman of the Russian-Syrian Friendship Committee at Duma Dmitry Sablin and the accompanying delegation on Sunday in Damascus.

 

Sudan pointed out to Russia ‘s stances in support of Syria and its people in the fight against terrorism.

 

For his part, Sablin voiced hope that Syria would participate as an observer in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization , considering that will constitute an added value whose results will return to the interest of Syria and Russia in fighting terrorism and enhancing their security and the security of the whole world.

 

He revealed that work is underway to coordinate cooperation mechanisms between Russian regions and Syrian provinces to provide support in the economic, social, humanitarian and educational fields.
