Telecommunications, internet put into service at Nassib border crossing

The Syrian Telecommunication Company-Daraa Branch has completed preparations of the telecommunication infrastructure at Nassib border crossing, as the telecommunications and internet have been put into service again, after they had been previously looted and vandalized at the hands of terrorists.

“The excavation works, laying cables and pipelines and other necessary measures were taken in just two weeks,” the Company’s Branch Manager, Ahmad al-Hariri said in a statement to SANA reporter.

He noted that the cost of these works has amounted to about SYP 77 million.

“Nassib border crossing was provided with an optical transmittance unit equipped with 864 phone lines and 64 internet gates, which were put into service, in addition to micro communication lines through Sweida province”, the Manger added.

It is noteworthy that early this month, work was resumed at Nassib Jaber border crossing at full capacity.
