Temperatures will drop notably to become from 3 to 4 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low pressure accompanied by a cold and wet air mass in all parts of the atmosphere.
The weather will be cloudy and rainy in most regions, and snow will fall over the high mountains, according to the Meteorological Department’s Thursday bulletin.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a moderate speed and active gusts, and in the afternoon, its speed will exceed 65 km/h, while the sea waves will be low to medium in height.
The Department added that the snow thickness reached 25 cm in Damascus countryside, and 10 cm in Sweida countryside.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus, Daraa 12/4, Homs 9/3, Lattakia 13/9, Aleppo 13/2 and Deir Ezzor 14/6.
