Baghdad The President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Moayad Al-Lami, met today with the Head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun.

The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate stated in a statement: “During the meeting, they discussed areas of activating the cooperation protocol and the relationship between the Syndicate and the Integrity Commission, in a way that enhances spreading a culture of integrity, eliminating corruption and preserving public money.”

The President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate praised the great efforts made by the President of the federal Integrity Commission and its staff recently to uncover cases of corruption, recover stolen funds, and prosecute those who caused damage to public money, stressing the readiness of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the press family to provide all forms of support and assistance to the Federal Integrity Commission, in a way that enhances its distinguished efforts in the service of the public interest.

For his part, the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haidar Hanoun, expressed his pride and appreciation for the support provided by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the press family in exposing cases of corruption and abuse of public money, stressing that the Commission will continue to cooperate and coordinate with the Syndicate in this field in light of the cooperation protocol between the two sides.
